The only women who were officially aknowledged by the Admiralty on board HM ships were the Nurses and Laundresses in the hospital ships.

Does anyone have more info on them?
Rates of pay?

In the establishments of hospital ships, there was provision for one nurse
for every fourteen men at 19s per lunar month, also washermen or women at
the same rate, and helpers at £1 4s per lunar month who may have been
women, though perhaps not at that pay. Laundresses are not listed at that
period.
