I have an ancestor Lawrence Colvin, who served as a gunner 1808-1822. His journeys started in Shetland Isles and ended in Woolwich. One hope I have is to trace the ship he served in, and of course other details. One possibility I have found was the Ringdove http://www.ageofnelson.org/MichaelPhillips/info.php?ref=1902. Has anyone other ideas, or places I might get more info.
