An ambitious new website on "la Marine du Premier Empire" (in French) created by Nicolas Mioque is promising - it will involve a lot of work.

It includes an historical timeline, a blog and a forum.
The shadows of Trafalgar still obscure the sight of the French naval historians about Napoleon's Navy.
They fought with courage and it's not their fault if the emperor was a total ignoramus when it came to naval matters. He finally got his sea legs on board the Northumberland.
