Sold in 1749.

  • 1707 Capt. Nicholas HADDOCK, appointed 6th. April and sent into the North Sea as a cruiser. On 30th. December he fell in with the NIGHTINGALE and the SQUIRREL, two frigates that had been captured by by the French and fitted out as Dunkirk privateers. Capt. HADDOCK immediately gave chace, and about eleven at night, came up with and took the NIGHTINGALE. The captain of the SQUIRREL making his escape while he was securing the prize.
  • 1709 Capt. Streynsham MASTER, he was advanced by Sir John NORRIS to the rank of post captain and appointed to the LUDLOW CASTLE on on 22 March.
  • 1710 Capt. Ambrose COLE, appointed 24th. March, he was shortly afterwards promoted to the RANELAGH. He died on 27 Oct. 1711.
  • 1715 Capt. Edward WHITWORTH, ordered to Jamaica
  • 1723 rebuilt at Woolwich
  • 1743 Hulk at Antigua.
