FLAMBOROUGH (24) 6th rate Built in 1697, Chatham DY.
Captured in 1705.

  • 1697 Capt. John HOOPER, he died on the 16th. September following.
  • 1697 Capt. Robert HUGHES, 28th. June. He commanded her through the ensuing peace and, when the war re-commenced on the accession of Queen Anne, was stationed as a cruiser in the North Sea and captured several small privateers from Dunkirk.
  • 1703 Capt. Josiah MIGHELLS, 31 March. He was promoted from 1st. lieutenant of NORWICH. Immediately afterwards he accompanied Sir Cloudesley Shovel to the Mediterranean. In October FLAMBOROUGH was detached with PEMBROKE, EXETER, TARTAR and a fireship to Tunis and Tripoli. He returned home in December with Commodore JUMPER. In 1705 he removed to the TRITON PRIZE.
