  • 1707 Capt. Robert BOWLER, promoted in January by Commodore KERR who commanded the squadron in Jamaica.

  • 1711 Capt. Matthew ELFORD, appointed 5th. March.

  • 1731 Capt. John St. LOO, 24th. November, one of a small squadron (PHOENIX, FLAMBOROUGH, DEAL CASTLE, WOLF and GRAMPUS) put in commission to protect the trade at Jamaica from the daily depredations of the Spanish guarda costas.
