Sold in 1761.

  • 1746 Capt. Hugh PIGOT.
  • 1751 Capt. Henry COSBY. He was appointed early in the year and was shortly afterwards ordered to New York where he died on 16 October 1753.
  • 1755 Capt. William BROWNE, appointed 17th. June.
  • 1760 Arthur FORREST. He was sent out to Jamaica as Commodore and temporary commander in chief on that station, sailing from England with a convoy of thirty-four ships on 16 January and arriving in Port Royal on 6 March. The command of the squadron devolved on him when Rear Ad. HOLMES died in Jamaica on 22 December. He continued on the station for the rest of the war without anything important happening. He was re-appointed to the same command in 1769 in the established rank of Commodore but died on 26 May 1770.
