On the 2nd of May he chased from the fleet for 70 leagues and after a fight of twenty minutes, captured the Spanish frigate the SANTA LEOCADIA OF 34 guns and 280 men; sixteen of whom were killed and twenty-five were wounded. The LEOCADIA was the first Spanish ship to be coppered. - 1782 Capt. William CORNWALLIS.
