  • 1741 Cdr. PEDDIE, Whitehaven 1744 Cdr. Edward FALKINGHAM. In 1746 he was promoted to captain of the SUCCESS frigate.
  • 1748 Cdr. William PRESTON, with Rear Ad. Edward BOSCAWEN's squadron off Mauritius.
  • 1749 Cdr. John CLERKE, in this vessel he was employed cruising off the British coast and capturing two or three privateers. The HARDIE of St. Marlo, carrying four carriage or swivel guns, taken in June, and the CATHERINE of Morlaix, with seven swivel guns, taken in August.
