  • 1757 Cdr. John DALRYMPLE. Removed from HAZARD's PRIZE in August and promoted into SPHYNX (20), as a post-captain in October 1758.
  • 1761 Capt. BROGRAVE. He captured the French corvette FAISAN in April, taken into the Royal Navy as PHEASANT she foundered in the Channel during August, and Cdr. B. NELSON was drowned.
  • 1762 Capt. Thomas SYMONDS, Spithead in July.
