    When she returned to Portsmouth on Sunday 29 August an order was received in the victualling Office to victual her for foreign service but on 16 September she convoyed transports with the 31st.
    Regiment to Jersey, returning on the 20th.

    During a thick fog STARLING went ashore near Calais on 18 December 1804.
    When he found it impracticable to get her off he blew her up and brought away the crew in the cutter and the jolly boat.
