    With the Baltic fleet in 1809.
    While he was off Aspo in July with MINOTAUR, CERBERUS and PROMETHEUS, Capt. PATER learnt that the enemy had several gunboats there to protect their coastal trade.
    He directed Capt. FORREST of PROMETHEUS to command 17 boats from the ships and attack four gunboats during the night of the 19th.
    (See PROMETHEUS for details of the attack.) James CARRINGTON, master's mate, of PRINCESS CAROLINE was killed.
