PIEDMONTAISE (38) Taken in the East Indies by Capt. George HARDINGE in ST. FIORENZO on 8 March 1808.
Broken up in 1813.

  • 1810 Capt. Charles FOOTE, East Indies.
    On 10 May 1810 a squadron consisting of CAROLINE, PIEDMONTAISE and BARRACOUTA with the MANDARIN transport, left Madras with money, supplies and troops to support the garrison at Amboyna and to attempt the reduction of the Banda (or Spice) Islands.
    Her officers were: Lieuts. Thomas CAREW, Robert WALKER and Robert BARKER; G. CUMMINGS, Master; J. LINCOLN, Surgeon and Joseph JACOBS, Purser.
  • After the surrender of Banda Neira (see CAROLINE) on 9 August 1810 Capt. FOOTE was appointed Lieutenant-Governor of the Banda Islands.
    He died at Madras on 5 September 1811, aged 31 years.
  • PIEDMONTAISE was out of commission at Woolwich until she was broken up.
