    He captured a Spanish vessel on 23 December 1806 and was entering the straits to take her into Gibraltar when 11 enemy privateers came out.
    He chased them away and succeeded in capturing the largest one which was attempting to retake his prize. She proved to be the N. S.
    del CARMEN mounting two 12-pounders, two 4-pounders and two large swivels.
    Afterwards he captured the Spanish mail packet from Tangier to Tariffa.

  • 1810 -12 Ralph WORMELEY, Mediterranean.
    On 4 June 1810 he captured the French privateer felucca SANS PEUR, with one long gun and two swivels with 39 men. She was 35 days out of Genoa without taking any prizes.
