  • On 16 November she sailed for the Leeward Is. with Rear Ad. CHRISTIAN and a military force under Sir Ralph Abercromby. Off Torbay a violent S. W. gale dispersed the fleet and drove many of the transports ashore. another attempt on 9 December was also wrecked by gales of Scilly and it was not until 20 March 1796 that the expedition was able leave for an attack on St. Lucia. She took part in the battle with the Spanish fleet off Cape St. Vincent on 14 February 1797.
