INVESTIGATOR Survey brig Built in 1811, Deptford. She was 76 feet long.
Broken up in 1857.

  • 1811 George THOMAS, master, Hosely Bay.
  • 1812 Ditto, River Thames.
    By 1816 Mr THOMAS was described as a surveyor. He re-commissioned INVESTIGATOR in January 1819 and February 1825, on which occasion he moved his base to the Shetlands.
    He re-commissioned her again March 1831 (North Sea) and February 1834 (Woolwich).
    She paid off at Woolwich during 1835.
  • From 1837 she was used by the Thames Police at Woolwich.
