INDIGNANT (12) Built in 1806, Booles and Good's Yard, Bridport.
Broken up in 1811.

  • 1807 Lieut. George BROAD, North Sea.
She was part of the inshore squadron of sloops, bombs and gunbrigs under Capt. PUGET which protected the left wing of the British forces attacking Copenhagen in August 1807.
On one occasion they sustained for more than four hours a heavy and incessant cannonade from the Danish batteries, block ships, praams and gun boats in a situation where, from the shoaling water, it was impossible to bring any of the large ships to their support. INDIGNANT lost one seaman killed and one wounded.
  • 1808 Lieut. Charles JONES, Downs.
  • 1811 Sheerness.
