On the renewal of hostilities HUNTER, which had spent the last few weeks bring men into Plymouth, was sent to Jamaica in May to carry the news.
He captured five privateers while commanding HUNTER on the Jamaica station.
On 26 July 1805 she took the schooner PROSPERITY and a proportion of the prize money for the vessel and the cargo was paid in October 1808. - 1808 G. CAMPBELL Downs.
