Lost in 1814.

  • 1811 Lieut. Samuel Sharpe TREACHER, Halifax.
    By October she was back at Spithead.
  • 1812 Halifax.
    At 4 o'clock in the morning of 29 January 1814 HOLLY parted her cables in a violent gale and ran onto the rocks under the Mount of San Sebastian and was wrecked.
    Lieut. TREACHER, Mr CRANE, the surgeon, and 4 men were washed overboard and drowned.
    The rest were saved with difficulty.
    Thirteen days earlier the QUEEN CHARLOTTE, packet, had been wrecked by a gale in the same harbour with the loss of 17 out of the 21 on board.
