  • 1809 Lieut. John REYNOLDS, 05/1809, cruising in the Sleeve (Cattegat) In 1810 he discovered that the harbour of Salo, then little known to the English, was a good place of refuge during gales on the Swedish coast.
    It was surveyed under his direction and was afterwards much frequented.
    He removed to NIMBLE early in 1812l.
