FLEUR-DE-LA-MER (8) Schooner Purchased in 1808.
Lost in 1811.

  • 1808 Lieut. Thomas HUSKISSON, who had taken passage to Jamaica on board MELPOMENE, was appointed to command the schooner by Vice-Ad. ROWLEY and ordered to cruise off the coast of San Domingo.
    He removed to PELORUS in May 1809.
  • 1811 Lieut. John ALEXANDER (3).
    FLEUR-DE-LA-MER foundered in the Atlantic on 8 January 1811 but all the crew were saved by an American brig which she had under convoy.
