Lost in 1812.

  • 1805 Gustavus STUPART, On the Channel and Halifax stations from the summer of 1805 until he was posted on 21 October 1800, the fifth anniversary of Trafalgar.
  • 1811 William Howe MULCASTER, 10/1810, Halifax.
  • On 26 August 1811 he captured the French brig ADELE, letter of marque, pierced for 16 guns but only mounting two, with 35 men. She was carrying a cargo of cotton and bound for Nantes from Charlestown.
    He fell in with the American privateer brig GOSSAMER on the evening of the 30 July 1812 off Cape Sable and after a short chase captured her.
    With 100 men and armed with 14 carriage guns she had left Boston six days earlier and had made only one capture, the MARY ANNE of Greenock, bound for Quebec from Jamaica.
    EMULOUS was wrecked on Sable Island on 3 August 1812.
