  • An Explosion Vessel employed against French shipping in the Boulogne Roads during the night of 2 October 1804. She was under the command of Cdr. Joseph EDMUNDS of FURY with Lieut. James CORVEY, midshipman R. JENN, coxswain J. ANGER and able seamen J. TAYLOR and J. MOTT. She ran in shore at the turn of the tide at 1 AM
    and the crew abandoned her among the anchored brigs and took to the boat.
    Twenty minutes later she exploded.
