  • 1759 Capt. William LLOYD,
    On 9 June CONQUEROR,CULLODEN and JERSEY were ordered to destroy two French frigates which had been driven into a bay near Toulon. The bay was fortified and when the British ships were becalmed they suffered severely before breaking off the action. CONQUEROR had 2 killed and 4 wounded.
    In August she was with BOSCAWEN'S fleet in action with the French off Gibraltar on the 18th.
    BOSCAWEN returned to England with part of the fleet and two prizes, leaving Vice Ad. BRDERICK to blockade Cadiz. He had to shift his flag to CONQUEROR when PRINCE was damaged in a storm.
  • Wrecked on St. Nicholas Is. (Drake Is.) Plymouth on 26 November 1760.
