  • 1799 John Ackworth OMMANNEY, North Sea.
    On the 16 September 1799 Capt. OMMANNEY saw a lugger running close in to the Dutch coast and after a short chase drove her so close into shore that she was anchored in heavy surf about 5 miles south of Egmont. The enemy vessel struck as soon BUSY anchored alongside her and the first lieutenant, Mr DEWMAT, managed to bring her out. Ten of her crew tried to escape in a boat but it was upset and eight of them drowned. She was the privateer DRAGON, armed with two 12-pounder carronades and fourteen long 4-pounders, returning to Dunkirk from the coast of Norway. Eight of her guns were thrown overboard during the chase. Capt. OMMANNEY sent her in to Yarmouth.
  • 1800 JUNO and BUSY left Portsmouth on 13 February with 150 sail for the West Indies.
    A convoy of similar size for Africa and the East Indies left at the same time. The homeward bound fleet of 170 sail left Bluefields on 1 August escorted by QUEEN (98), two frigates and BUSY.
  • 1801 Capt. Lord FAULKLAND Jamaica.
    Following the Peace of Amiens in March 1802, moorings were prepared in the Dockyard at Plymouth in the middle of July for eight sail of the line, four frigates and five sloops, which included BUSY, to be laid up on their return from Jamaica.
  • 1803 T. CLINCH.
    On 24 October BUSY, with the convoy for Newfoundland and Halifax, got under weigh at Portsmouth but brought to again when the wind dropped. They all sailed the following day with DILIGENTE in company.
    BUSY returned to Portsmouth on 28 November. She sailed for a cruise off Cherbourg with TRIBUNE and PLUTO on 27 January 1804 and returned on 12 February.
  • Capt. CLINCH sailed from Portsmouth for West Indies station on 13 April 1804. There he removed to OSPREY.
  • 1804 William Henry BYAM, from OSPREY, December 1804 to October 1805, Halifax.
  • 1807 Richard KEILLEY, Halifax.
    BUSY foundered during February 1807 on station. All lost.
