BRAAVE (40) Taken by Ad. ELPHINSTONE in Saldanha Bay on 27 August 1796. Hospital ship 1811.
  • 1797 Capt. TODD, 03/1797. Capt. ROWLEY, 09/1797. Cape of Good Hope.
  • 1799 Capt. Thomas ALEXANDER, 06/1799. East Indies.
    On 23 August 1800 BRAAVE, in company with CENTURION, DAEDALUS and SYBILLE, entered Batavia Roads and captured five Dutch armed vessels and destroyed 22 other vessels.
    Capt. ALEXANDER resigned his command due to ill health and returned as a passenger in the IMPERIEUSE, arriving in England on 12 June 1802.
  • 1803 Capt. James GIFFORD, Cape of Good Hope.
    DIOMEDE (Vice Ad. Sir Roger CURTIS), JUPITER, BRAAVE, the INDUSTAN storeship and the FAVORITE and MONARCH storeships, arrived at St Helen's from the Cape of Good Hope on 27 May 1803.
  • BRAAVE went into the harbour on 10 June and her men were turned over to the ROYAL SOVEREIGN.
  • 1806 Portsmouth.
