On 9 September 1800 CHAMPION, DOLPHIN, SPARKLER and BOUNCER drove ashore two brigs laden with barilla, an alkali produced by burning kelp, and destroyed them. On 21 October BOUNCER left Portsmouth with a convoy for the Downs and on 29 December she sailed with GRAND FALCONER and FORCE for Marcou. - 1801 Lieut. William Richard BAMBER.
On 2 March BOUNCER sailed from Portsmouth for Yarmouth with a fleet under Lord NELSON to join the expedition against Copenhagen.
