BOUNCER Gunvessel No details.
One of the flotilla of gunvessels employed in the defence of Cadiz in 1810. She was commanded by Lieut. William HALL. In thick hazy weather on the afternoon of 1 November 1810 a flotilla of French gunvessels from San Lucar was sighted running along-shore from Rota and they were pursued by the British flotilla, which had already destroyed one of them early in the morning. The enemy, with only a short distance to run, managed to escape, but in the running fight Lieut. HALL was badly wounded.
