BOLD (12) Gun-brig Originally MANLY. Named BOLD after her recapture from the Dutch on 1 Jan 1809 by ONYX (10), in the North Sea.
Sold in 1811.

  • On 29 May 1810 the boats of BOLD joined those from DESIREE, QUEBEC and BRITOMART under the direction of Lieut. Samuel RADFORD in making an attack on armed vessels in the Vlie. A French lugger of 6 guns and 26 men was driven ashore and burnt, another lugger of 12 guns and 42 men and a French schuyt privateer of 4 guns were captured and brought out.
