  • 1835 Lieut. C. H. NORRINGTON, 12/1835, Falmouth.
  • 1839 Lieut. Edward JENNINGS, 02/1839, Falmouth.
  • 1844 Chas. BOSANQUET, 07/1843, Coast of Africa. She captured the slaver BOA SORTE on 15 November 1845.
    In 1846 he captured a Brazilian slaver with 80 slaves on board off Cabinda and despatched her to Sierra Leone under Mate Edward WASEY. Bad weather forced WASEY into Maranhao in northern Brazil in a sinking condition. The slaves were enticed ashore there by brigands disguised as soldiers while arrangements were being made for their safekeeping and they were not recovered.
  • 1848 (6-gun) Hugh DUNLOP, 10/1847, Coast of Africa.
    Captured slavers MARIA 7 April and LAWRENCE 25 September 1848.
  • During Dec. 1849 ALERT's boats landed a party to liberate 103 slaves held in barracoons along the river Pongos. They were taken to safety in Sierra Leone.
